Three Things to Watch This Week - Week 8

The New England Patriots play Josh Allen Nathan Peterman Derek Anderson and the Buffalo Bills at the Ralph on Monday October 29th at 8:15 PM. Good job, Kyle! Hope everybody is getting their rest.  Lots of sports this week. I'm done worrying about the defense.  Nobody plays defense anymore.  If the Patriots can make a "good" Bears defense look like that with no Gronk and somebody named Kenjon Barner getting 10 carries, defense really might not matter anymore. If you're going to give up 30 points a week, make sure you score 40. Mitch power rankings: 1) Pileggi 2) Moreland 3) Elizabeth  -ell 4) Taylor 5) Kupchak 6) Trubisky 7) Richmond Here are three things I'm feeling slightly better about as of late: 1) James White - James White is (semi) quietly having a fantastic season. 2) Josh Gordon - Josh Gordon has marvelous hands.  He could be a hand model. 3) Sony Michel - How bad is he hurt?  Is it serious?  I wonder if it's ser

Three Things to Watch This Week - Week 6

The New England Patriots play Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs at Gillette Stadium on Sunday October 14th at 8:20 PM. The Patriots recent history against mobile quarterbacks is not great.  So I'm more than a little concerned about Sunday night. Nice win last week, but it's a good thing the Colts don't have receivers that can catch.  Otherwise that's a much closer game.  Luck still could be a fantastic quarterback.  You think they'd put a little talent around him. When Dad says we're going to Five Guys. Brock Power Rankings: 1) Samson 2) Holt 3) Peters 4) Boeser 5) -mire ... 11,997) Osweiler Here's three things I'll be getting defensive about on Sunday: 1) Stephon Gilmore - I still can't tell if Gilmore is good or not.  But he's probably not good enough to be taking crap to other corner backs. 2) Kyle Van Noy - Is Van Noy a great linebacker?  No.  But it's fun to do the Cartman voice when he makes a pl

Three Things to Watch This Week - Week 5

The New England Patriots play Andrew Luck and the Indianapolis Colts at Gillette Stadium on Thursday October 4th at 8:20 PM. HEADS UP, PEOPLE.  THURSDAY GAME THIS WEEK.  EVERYBODY LOOK ALIVE. It takes a lot of extra effort to crank out a column on these short weeks.  Hopefully I don't hurt myself.  Don't want to pull a hamstring or anything. Good bounce back game last Sunday.  Good job! I don't know if Miami was a bit overrated or if we're just a bad matchup for them. He's back. Julian Power Rankings: 1) Calendar 2) Edelman 3) Temple 4) -ne Nicholson 5) Voorhees Here's three things I feel slightly better about this week: 1) The Defensive Line - The defensive line played much better upon Trey Flowers' return. 2) The Secondary - The Patriots lead the league in McCourtys. 3) The running game - Sony Michel might not be a complete bust! 4) BONUS FOURTH ITEM - Mookie Betts for MVP.
