Three Things to Watch This Week - Week 4

 The New England Patriots play Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday October 4th at 4:25 PM Monday October 5th at 7:05 PM*.

*lots of last minute changes this week, due to the somewhat unpredictable nature of life.

Here are three things I like so far this season:

1) The running game. I complained about Rex Burkhead last week, and I gotta say, the dude had the game of his life against Oakland Vegas. Even Sony Michel had a great game. However, as my buddy Pittsburgh Joel put it, the Raiders "seriously suck at run defense." So I guess that's the other side of that coin.

2) The defense. Not great. They'll be tested this week, for sure. And definitely exploitable. But... halfway decent considering the amount of turnover this off season.

3) Cam Freakin' Newton. Watching Cam has been a lot of fun. Exceeds all expectations. 

...and now he's sick. Oh farts. Looks like Brian Hoyer is getting the start tonight. "Hoyer, who is 0-10 in his past 10 starts..."

OoooooooooooOOOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooof.

Hang tight, people. This one could get ugly. Conversely, maybe tonight would be a good time to read a book or play a board game with family members.

I gotta say, life here on the island is pretty good. Even in quarantine. I have no complaints. I was already set up to work from home. And I don't wear pants anyway, so that doesn't affect me.

Bill sometimes comes out in the Summer. Sometimes he doesn't. When he does, we watch film together.

I had to cancel my trip to the Vineyard in July. But no big deal. Besides, I hear they have sharks.

Just don't ask me to pose for any more Christmas cards this year. I'm done with that nonsense.

Five Things to Watch This Week.

I still wake up thinking about how close we were to 19 and 0. I don't think I'll ever get over that. Here's five things I'll be watching for on Thursday: 1) Tom Brady. How well does he hold the clipboard on the sideline? Does he hold it with his left hand or his right hand? Will he be in uniform or street clothes? Three Things to Watch This Week - Week 3

The New England Patriots play Matthew Stafford and the Detroit Lions at Ford Field on Sunday September 23rd at 8:20 PM. Gordon Power Rankings 1) Cole 2) Flash 3) Kim 4) Levitt 5) Sumner 6) (Sesame Street) 7) Lightfoot 8) Shumway 9) Emily v 10) Hayword 11) the Big Engine 12) Jump 13) Josh (Who knew there were so many Gordons!) Here's three things I'm worried about for Sunday evening: 1) The secondary - Eric Rowe isn't making me forget about Malcolm Butler any time soon.  Assuming the Lions have changed their signals by now .
